The Italian Field Post Office # 52 came to Czechoslovakia with the italian part of the Czechoslovak legion. It served especially the Italian officers who were part of the legion. The field post office arrived on 24.12.1918 in Kromeriz (now Czech Republic); on 3.3.1919 it moved to Bratislava (now Slovak Republic). Here it stayed until 31.5.1919 when the Italian military mission returned home. The used type of field post marking is shown on the left.
During the conflict between Czechoslovakia and Poland concerning a part of Eastern Silesia in 1918-1920, a part of present Czech territory was temporarily under Polish administration. Details on the postal services to the Polish military units involved are not known. Help wanted !

Bulgaria, Eastern Germany and Hungary took part in the occupation of Czechoslovakia on
21.8.1968. Their units were withdrawn soon and replaced by Soviet ones. Details on the

Czechoslovak field post markings from 1973 and 1986 have become known. Their character is yet unclear; most probably they were used when training field post service during military exercises. The recorded type of marking is shown on the left.
