FAIR COLLECTOR IS OVER, NEXT ONE IS COMING

International
trade fair Collector that took place in Prague on 13th –
14th September 2002, is over. But the organizer is already
preparing a new one. The sixth annual International Trade Fair for Stamps,
Coins, Telephone Cards, Minerals and Collecting COLLECTOR will take place
on its traditional site in the Industrial Palace at the Fairgrounds in
Prague 7 – Holešovice from 12th to 14th September 2003.
The trade fair, which is a unique project not only in the Czech
Republic but in all post-socialist countries, has already sent down
adequate roots in the Czech capital and has become a well-known event
which collectors from both the Czech Republic and abroad look forward to.
Despite the fact that it was held exactly one month after the
disastrous floods, a record number of 162 exhibitors at the fair area of
3,800 sqm from 28 countries took part in the trade fair in 2002. For the
first time the organizer welcomed exhibitors from, for example, the USA,
Mexico, South Africa and other countries. The number of visitors was
obviously affected by the floods and the chaos on the roads in Prague, but
in spite of this more than eight thousand visitors made their way to the
trade fair, of which ten percent came from abroad. Despite this almost all
exhibitors were satisfied with the sales results, and takings often
exceeded the figure reached in the year 2001. Exhibitors also appreciated
the fact that they made new business contacts at the trade fair. This also
applied to three philatelic houses in Prague where the floods totally
destroyed the shops and all their philatelic material.
The organizer will keep the prices of stands and display tables for
exhibitors at the 6th annual COLLECTOR in 2003 the same as in
the year 2002. The admission price for visitors will also be kept at the
current level.
In the spring of 2003 Progres Partners Advertising Ltd. will send
out application forms to previous exhibitors and to firms and individuals
who have not yet exhibited but who we know about. But if you are
