11) Medium Single Circle with 2 figure year

A new cancel group very similar to the one shown under 8) but now with a 2 figure year was introduced in 1894 both in domestic and foreign post offices and was used until substituted by the Comb Type handstamp in 1905. Many varieties have been found and because of the numerous items I want to present I divide this section into domestic, Korean, Chinese and Seapost cancels.

This Double Circle is listed under XI-8a and I can confirm the dimensions listed: 26.5 outer and 24 mm inner circle. The date on the cover mentioned in the monograph is 18 NOV 98, mine is from 30 NOV 98. One difference I noticed: XI-8a is shown with a six point asterisks, mine has 8.
