A new cancel group very similar to the one shown under 8) but now with a 2
figure year was introduced in 1894 both in domestic and foreign post offices and
was used until substituted by the Comb Type handstamp in 1905. Many varieties
have been found and because of the numerous items I want to present I divide
this section into domestic, Korean, Chinese and Seapost cancels.

follow the arrangements made by Mr. John Gordon Bishop in his ISJP
monograph 'The Roman Letter Postmarks of Japan'. This Double Circle is
listed under XI-8a and I can confirm the dimensions listed: 26.5 outer and
24 mm inner circle. The date on the cover mentioned in the monograph is 18
NOV 98, mine is from 30 NOV 98. One difference I noticed: XI-8a is shown
with a six point asterisks, mine has 8.
11Kobe4:I do not want to bore visitors by showing
similar items several times, but here I just could not help it with yet
another of these funny Kobe Double Circles on a FC12 card to
