Sme radi, že na Exponet pribudli ďalšie nádherné zbierky, ktoré pohladia naše filatelistické srdiečka a obohatia filatelistické znalosti všetkých nás, ktorí sa zaoberajú klasikou.
Hlavne tá uhorská zbierka, ktorá ukazuje historiu pošty na našom území, je nádherná. Veľká vďaka patrí hlavne nebohému pánu Vojtechovi Čelkovi z Trenčína, ktorý vytvoril nádherné dielo, ktoré poteší nejedného filatelistu, ktorý sa uvedenou tématikou seriozne zaoberá. Česť jeho pamiatke!!

Carol ( http://www.japhila.cz/hof/0535/index0535a.htm ) is our lastest "star" in the Hong Kong Philatelic Society. She has taken up the wonderful hobby of stamp collecting since 2004 after her retirement and she has acheived more in terms of publication, seminars, awards at exhibition more than many of us.
I congratulate you on the wise choice of her one frame exhibit. Although it does not cost much to collect, it has acheived OF vermeil at several shows.

I am a stamps collector and I enter Exponet web site from time to time. I enjoy very much from the new exhibitions and learn a lot about philately from your site. Congratulations!!!
I have one note, please. The pages of the 3 new exhibitions – no. 528, 529, 530 are not fitting to the computer screen like the other exhibitions pages. This makes it very difficult and uncomfortable to read the exhibitions.

Just took a look at the Exponet exhibit for sale (see Bret Janik's note from a little more than 3 hours ago: http://www.philamercury.com/board.php or direct http://www.japhila.cz/hof/0470/index0470a.htm ).

The exhibit pages that come up when one clicks on Exponet´s link show the same large dark patches that concerned me. If it is OK for other exhibits, it should be OK for my friend's, and I've gotten rid of most of the darkness. As mentioned in my original post, one place being considered for archiving is Exponet site...

442 exponat på nätet

Min mormor var en vis kvinna. Stressade aldrig, hetsade aldrig upp sig för några småsaker, jäktade inte, men så blev hon också 98 år.

Då hon med upphöjd lugn sittandes på sin balkong besåg omvärlden, det vill säga grannens trädgård, kunde hon med filosofisk visdom konstatera: ”Kolla som de håller på! Så fort det kommer lite snö är min trädgård lika fin som deras!”
Med tanke på årstiden, annalkande mörker och att sommarens alla måsten, ”nästan alla”, är avklarade, kan vi med gott samvete sätta oss med våra älskade frimärkssamlingar och vid det första snöfallet konstatera att trädgården är helt OK. Resten kan ju fixas till våren.

Då sitter man där med sin samling, begrundar höstens auktionskap, sorterar, katalogiserar och funderar. Hur står sig min samling mot andras? Vad att utöka, hur att förändra? Något nytt, hur att gå vidare?

Var får man bästa grunden till framtida inspiration om inte på filateliutställningen. Men, när besökte ni en större utställning senast? När såg ni senast en internationell utställning eller tom en världsutställning? Länge sedan, eller aldrig? Ont om tid? Ont om pengar? Hustrun vill hellre till Playa del Sol än till ngn tråkig utställning? Känns argumenten igen?

Vad sägs om att dagligen, helt gratis, i lugn och ro kunna besöka en jätteutställning, bara kunna sitta där och jämföra ens egen samling med motsvarande från USA, Kina och så vidae?

För cirka tre år sedan slog två herrar från Prag sina kloka huvuden ihop, funderade över ovanstående problem och kom fram till följande: ”Vi skapar en permanent, non profit on line utställning!” Till skillnad från en del andra, gick de direkt från tanke till handling. Hjärnorna bakom det hela är herrarna M. Cernik och B. Janik.

Vad är det jag talar om? Ju, om EXPONET http://www.japhila.cz/hof/ Fram till dags dato kan vi där begrunda 442 exponat, från 41 olika länder! Slå det den som kan. Och det bästa är, antalet gratis utställare ökar så gott som dagligen.

Tanken med EXPONET är att erbjuda förstklasiga exponat till fri påseende, rädda en del exponat till eftervärlden, då deras livslängd sällan överstiger ägarens, stimulera mångfalden…
Där finner ni allt från klasisk filateli till motivsamlingar, från Court of Honor till samlingar till salu!

Men, där är det tyvärr tunnsådd med Svenska samlingar! Allt som allt tre stycken. Bättre kan vi, eller? Det enda som behövs är att scana av er exponat, bränna av den på en CD skiva och skicka iväg den. Inte alls så krångligt som man skulle tro och helt gratis.

Har ni några frågor eller önskemål om att ställa ut på EXPONET, vg hör av er. Har lovat herrarna i Prag att hjälpa till med detta. Vi måste finna nya vägar att presentera våra ”klenoder”. Se till, att belackarna som alltför ofta och alltför högt hörs att filateli är död, kommer på skam.

Så fram med albumbladen, scanern och sätt igång. Trädgården var ju helt OK, det har vi redan konstaterat!

ZEK - THE SOVIET SLAVE-LABOR EMPIRE AND ITS SUCCESSORS, 1917 - 2000

This is a great exhibit about how could function the first large and very consistent implementation of socialist ideas, the Union of Soviet
Socialists Republics, which could survive and expand only thanks to the work of about 10 % of its population, that was reduced to slavery in the immense work and extermination camp system (the infamous GULAG).
The postal documents of that time are very often difficult to get, because the population feared to keep them. So bigger is the merit of Mr. David M. Skipton, who could put together such a wonderful collection and presentation. Highly recommended!

S potěšením jsem na výstavě sledoval obležené monitory Exponetu. Musím vám proto znovu blahopřát nejen k nápadu, ale především k jeho realizaci. Blahodárnost Exponetu jsem si vždycky připomněl, když jsem na výstavě postával pár minut u nějakého exponátu a začaly mě z toho přešlapování u rámů nekřesťansky bolet záda a kolena...
Mám tedy dotaz: co z té vystavované nádhery uvidíme na Exponetu? Máte už nějaké ohlasy na Exponet a především svolení od majitelů exponátů něco z toho na Exponet dostat?

Na Blogu ( www.expo-net.blogspot.com ) jsem si přečetl článek Jiřího Sedláka: EXPONET - virtuální mezinárodní filatelistická výstava. Kdybych tyto stránky neznal a nebyl jejich častým návštěvníkem (a vystavovatelem), měl bych za to, že text je "mírně" nadnesený. Pravdou je, že i kdyby bylo použito v mnohem vyšší míře superlativ, stále by nebyl dostatečně popsán význam a dosah myšlenky založení virtuální filatelistické výstavy. Rovněž nadlidská vůle a píle autorů směřující k rozšíření objemu výstavní plochy nelze popsat. Nejde o práci profesionálních designerů řešících denodenně obtíže při publikaci získaných materiálů, ale o práci amatérů, kteří naplňují svůj sen ve volných chvílích, nebrajíce ohled na požadavky svých nejbližších. Jen díky útrpnému snášení manželek všech nejvýznamnějších protagonistů a jejich neskonalé trpělivosti se my ostatní můžeme kochat a naplňovat radostí.

Když jsme před třemi lety poprvé informovali o nové aktivitě internetového magazínu Japhila - chystané trvalé výstavě poštovních známek na internetu (F. Beneš: Skvělý nápad na internetu!; F9/04/32 >>>>> http://www.japhila.cz/exponet.htm ) v závěru jsme konstatovali, že „jde o mimořádně rozsáhlý záměr; o úkol, na nějž si prozatím netroufly ani velké zahraniční filatelistické firmy a organizace. Je samozřejmé, že i naši odvážlivci pod jeho velkou tíhou mohou zakolísat a může se dokonce ukázat, že je nad jejích síly: I tak má ale smysl se do něj pustit. Na pomníčcích většiny nesplněných přání stojí totiž nápis: Nepokusil se ...“.

Následující tři roky však ukázaly, že když se chce, všechno jde. Trpělivá a doslova každodenní práce vyústila do více než 300 vystavených exponátů (kulatý počet 300 byl dosažen 5. října), a to doslova z celého světa (vystavovatelé z 35 zemí). Akce se dokonce rozvinula natolik, že její pořadatelství v roce 2006 převzala samostatná, k tomu účelu zřízená obecně prospěšná společnost Virtuální výstavy EXPONET, která pro výstavu dokonce získala záštitu ministra kultury ČR! Vedle rostoucího počtu exponátu se na samotnou výstavu nabalují i další aktivity - snaha o hodnocení exponátů, diskusní blog (http://expo-net.blogspot.com), recenze a další. To všechno snadno najdete na http://www.exponet.info/ nebo na známé adrese http://www.japhila.cz/ (tu má asi každý sběratel nastavenou na svém prohlížeči mezi oblíbenými a spolehlivě se přes ni na výstavu prokliká). Pokud tedy koketujete s myšlenkou na sestavení výstavního exponátu, může vás návštěva Exponetu inspirovat. A pokud už exponát máte, můžete jej sem nabídnout k trvalému vystavení - zbude tak po něm památka, i když ho jednou přepracujete či rozprodáte. Na Exponetu navíc neplatíte výstavní poplatky a hlavně nemusíte zápasit s prostorem, takže na rozdíl od tradičních výstav pořádaných podle regulí FIP mužete vystavit i výrazně rozsáhlejší objekty (počet listů a „rámů“ není omezen).

As a Swiss collector, my Argentina collection is found only when clicking on the Swiss flag ( http://www.japhila.cz/hof/0027/index0027a.htm ). So if anyone wants to see Argentina collections other than the 2 shown under the Argentina flag, he has to check all the other countries. Therefore my question. is it not possible to include a browser which permits to find all Argentina collections under the Argentina flag? I hope that you can realize my suggestion sooner or late.

PRAGA 2008 is a showing of the use of electronic media in philately
The presentation of philatelic literature in electronic form has already been mentioned. The organizing committee, however, also intends to give more room to a unique project – the virtual philatelic exhibit Exponet. Philatelists and other interested parties around the world will have the opportunity of viewing the exhibits of this virtual exhibition on the internet. The size of this exhibition is regularly expanded each week by one or two new exhibits. At the same time, the number of visitors to Exponet is also rising.
For visitors to the exhibition PRAGA 2008, the promotion of this virtual exhibit can serve as a source of plentiful information not only for their own collecting activities, but also for inspiration for the presentation of their own exhibits, as well as an appropriate opportunity for comparing of original documents with their electronic versions. It is also certain that the majority of visitors to traditional philatelic exhibitions never get the chance to look in detail at everything that interests them. Die Absicht des Organisationskomitees der Ausstellung besteht jedoch ebenfalls darin, dem einmaligen Projekt - der virtuellen Philatelieausstellung Exponet - einen größeren Stellenwert einzuräumen. Die Philatelisten und weitere Interessenten auf der ganzen Welt können die Exponate dieser virtuellen Ausstellung im Internet betrachten. Der Umfang dieser Ausstellung wird jede Woche um ein bis zwei neue Exponate ausgeweitet. Derzeit steigt auch die Besucheranzahl der Exponet.
Für die Besucher der Ausstellung PRAGA 2008 kann die Werbung für diese virtuelle Ausstellung nicht nur eine reiche Quelle an Informationen für die eigene Sammlertätigkeit, sondern auch eine echte Inspiration für die Präsentation der eigenen Exponate und gleichfalls auch eine angemessene Gelegenheit zum Vergleich der Originaldokumente mit ihrer elektronischen Gestalt sein. Außerdem ist klar, dass die meisten Besucher der traditionellen Philatelieausstellungen somit die Möglichkeit haben, sich im Detail alles anzuschauen, wofür sie sich interessieren. Hier haben sie nun die Möglichkeit festzustellen, dass sie einige Exponate auch nach der Ausstellung in der Ruhe ihres eigenen Zuhauses sorgfältig studieren können...

PRAGA 2008 je přehlídkou použití elektronických médií ve filatelii
Prezentace filatelistické literatury v elektronické podobě již byla zmíněna. Záměrem organizačního výboru výstavy však také je dát větší prostor i unikátnímu projektu – filatelistické virtuální výstavě Exponet. Exponáty této virtuální výstavy mají možnost prohlížet na internetu filatelisté i další zájemci na celém světě. Rozsah této výstavy se pravidelně rozšiřuje každý týden o jeden až dva další exponáty. Současně stoupá i počet návštěvníků Exponetu.
Pro návštěvníky výstavy PRAGA 2008 může být propagace této virtuální výstavy bohatým zdrojem informací nejen pro vlastní sběratelskou činnost, ale i dobrou inspirací pro prezentaci vlastních exponátů a také vhodnou příležitostí k porovnání originálních dokladů s jejich elektronickou podobou. Navíc je jisté, že většina návštěvníků tradičních filatelistických výstav nikdy nemá možnost detailně si prohlédnout vše, o co mají zájem. Zde budou mít příležitost zjistit, že některé exponáty si mohou důkladně prostudovat i po výstavě v klidu domova...

Thanks for the link to that stunning collection of Thailand att overprints. Reading through the exhibit, with it's terrific stamps, clear illustrations, and beautifully written descriptions and explanations, I felt that I actually understood those difficult stamps for the first time. It will be a wonderful reference the next time I'm trying to make sense of some atts.

Congratulations on how nicely your site is growing. You have some wonderful material on display.
As the number of exhibits increases, it gets harder and harder to find specific countries. Have you thought about adding a directory by country so if a person was interested in India (for example) by selecting India one could see all the exhibits from that country.
Some people have told me they do not have the energy to search through the whole site to see if there is something there interests them. I wanted to ask you about this.

The members were informed about the specialist publications with almost 200 bulletins worldwide intil 1938. World conventions took place in Le Havre (1929), Antwerp (1930), Brunswick (1931), Vienna (1933) and in Brussels (1935). "Zpravodaj - Časopis pro členy Společnosti sběratelů československých známek SČF" ve svém čísle 2/2006 přináší povídání o Exponetu. Je jen škoda, že od doby jeho zaslání redakci uběhla poměrně značná doba (5. 12. 2005), a za tu dobu se toho změnilo opravdu hodně. Nepomohla tedy ani "aktualizace" počtu exponátů. Každopádně děkujeme agilní společnosti SSČZ SČF a doufáme, že její členové se stanou i vystavovateli na Exponetu, tím spíše, že vzorem jim šel jejich předseda - ing. Vitam tiez pripravovane rozsirenie zaberu vystavy o aktivnu ucast porotcov, k comu sa rad pripojim. Dovolil by som si navrhnut, aby sa k jednotlivym exponatom vyznacilo aj ich hodnotenie na vystavach. Umoznilo by to nielen prezentaciu uspechov vystavovatela, ale aj porovnavat pristup porot na roznych vystavach a v neposlednom rade (najmä potencialnym vystavovatelom) orientaciu v tom, co mozu ocakavat pri hodnoteni svojho exponatu. Mozno by bolo uzitocne zaviest aj moznost vyjadrenia pripomienok alebo upresnujucich navrhov, pripadne opravu omylov ci nepresnosti vo „vystavenych“ exponatoch takou formou, ze by boli zaslane elektronicky priamo vystavovatelovi.
Drzim palce teamu EXPONETu, aby mu vysli jeho zamery podla predstav a na uzitok vsetkych, pre ktorych sa stal uz trvalym zdrojom zabavy i poucenia.".

"...i love this project really. Some days ago I read carefully the exhibition of "Certified mail in Northern Bavaria 1945". I didn´t know anything about this before. Yesterday I found a so called "certified letter" offered by a German dealer. This kind of mail was only possible from 03.09. until 18.09.1945 and only in northern Bavaria. Without my knowledge got from this site I would not have been able to recognice the value of this letter. You do a great job, really, and I appreciate it very well. Thank You for this project.".

EXPONET
A few years ago I found on Japhila the on line exhibition by Milan Černík. This exhibition was out of my interest sphere, but I often returned to it to study how this virtual exhibition was built and presented.
In July 2004 when Exponet was presented on Japhila site, I understood that this was something I had been waiting for, a permanent on line exhibition! Suddenly we could study top collections for free, visit them as many times as we wanted to, without travelling, and we could compare our own collections to the on line exhibitions.
Later on, when Mr. Gerhard Hanacek presented his on line exhibition “TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI 1920-1923 DIE FREIMARKENAUSGABEN IN BUCHDRUCK”, (Czechoslovakia – typography stamps 1920-1923) I could state that the Exponet was “going to be something”! This was fascinating, I really enjoyed it. Then, when Mr. Henry Hahn’s on line exhibition ”CZECHOSLOVAKIA - THE FIRST REPUBLIC 1918 – 1938” was presented this year, 2005, on Exponet, that was for me and presumably for all CSR I collectors a real “Christmas gift”. I must admit I don’t know how many times I have returned to this exhibition to study it and to enjoy it. Also Mr Václav Kostal’s “CSR I - ZEITUNGSMARKEN 1918-1920” and Mr Georg Wilhelms "DIE TSCHECHOSLOWAKISCHE LUFTPOST 1920-1939" caught my interest.
As you can see, my interest is in CSR I stamps, but if you visit the Exponet, you will find many different exhibitions with many different themes. You find there exhibitions with POSTAL HISTORY OF BANGLADESH, REVENUE STAMPS OF THE INDIA STATES, THE FORGERIES OF THE CZECH POST STAMPS, THE BICOLOURED POSTAL STATIONERY OF DENMARK 1871-1905…
So, almost everybody will find something of interest on the Exponet, it’s a paradise for all philatelists.
The possibility to continually be able to compare and study the own collection against Exponet’s different exhibitions is sensational. I don’t doubt that many new exhibitioners will find the Exponet in the future. I hope that many youngsters via Internet and thanks to Exponet will become interested in philately. The possibilities how to enlarge the Exponet is almost unlimited, e.g. the youngster’s corner, the hall of fame…
I wish the Exponet all the best for its first birthday and many exclusive and valuable stamps in its future.

EXPONET
Před pár lety jsem se poprvé na Japhile seznámil s virtuální expozicí Milana Černíka, kde vystavuje své „Dvojité dopisnice v poštovním použití z let 1918–1939“. Musím se přiznat, tento obor není právě mým koníčkem, ale provedení virtuální výstavy, prezentace a popis exponátu mě natolik zaujal, že jsem se často vracel zpět na Japhilu a zde studoval, jak je tento exponát provedený.
V červenci 2004 Exponet poprvé viděl svět a já jsem pochopil, že toto je právě to co jsem si již dávno přál, tedy permanentní on-line výstava! Najednou jsme se zde seznámili se špičkovými exponáty a oproti normální výstavě známek s tou výhodou, že na tuto výstavu se dostaneme zdarma, bez cestování a navíc to nejlepší, každý exponát můžeme znovu a znovu studovat, prohlížet a porovnávat doma s vlastními známkami a s katalogem.
Později, když pan Gerhard Hanacek na Exponet zařadil svůj exponát „Československo 1920–1923 Knihtisková vydání“, konstatoval jsem, že z Exponetu „něco bude“! To bylo ono, to se mi líbilo!
Letos, tedy 2005, dle mého názoru a mého sběratelského oboru, když na Exponet byl zařazen exponát pana Henry Hahna z USA, byl to pro mě a pro sběratele ČSR I hotový Vánoční dárek! Musím říci, že jsem se od toho exponátu nemohl odtrhnout a kolikrát jsem to již prostudoval, to ani sám nevím. Stejně mě zaujaly exponáty pana Václava Košťála – ČSR I Novinové 1918–1920 a pana Georga Wilhelmse – Československá letecká pošta 1920–1939!
Mým koníčkem jsou známky ČSR I, to jste snad již pochopili, ovšem to nemění nic na věci že i sběratelé jiných oborů, například perfínů, celin Dánska, padělků atd. na Exponetu mají Eldorádo.
Stálá možnost studia exponátů, možnost porovnávat vlastní sbírku s výstavními sbírkami na Exponetu je nesporně senzační. Že Exponet časem, až sem více vystavovatelů zařadí své sbírky, naroste, o tom nepochybuji a též nepochybuji o tom že tím se Exponet stane ukazatelem, jak díky Internetu je možné popularizovat filatelii u mládeže.
Doufám, že v budoucnu pomocí skenů extra vzácných položek exponátů, kliknutím na známku budeme mít možnost ji zvětšit a takto studovat vzácné typy, deskové vady, porovnávat zoubkování i vidět její rubovou stranu. Prozatím na Exponetu chybí díl pro mládež a snad i Dvorana slávy. Vše je technicky možné, jen je třeba vytrvalost a fantazie.
Přeji Exponetu vše nejlepší k prvním narozeninám a do budoucna hodně nových vzácných příspěvků!
