Mietens
& Partner and MDS Münzlogistik for the first time The
well-known German numismatic firm Mietens & Partners from Salzgitter,
has decided to join the new exhibitors at this year’s trade fair. It
will offer collectors sets of coins and banknotes from the entire world
and also numismatic advertising gifts. The no less well-known MDS Münzlogistik
from Erlangen in Germany will also be appearing at Collector for the first
time this year. On its stand it will have euro coins, medals and exclusive
individual numismatic products. Its offer will also include numismatic
literature. Another
exhibitor from Portugal In
addition to the Portuguese Post Office, which participated at Collector
last year and will be coming again this year, we will be welcoming the
Portuguese State Mint for the first time. The mint, with its headquarters
in the centre of Lisbon, is famous for its high-quality mintings not only
for the purposes of its own country, but also for other states. It also
makes medals and objects d’art from noble metals. The Czech
Republic will have lively relations with Portugal after accession to the
European Union. For example, at present the organising firm of the Prague
trade fair Collector is organising the official Czech exhibition in Lisbon
for the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic. Slovenian
firm Phila once again in Prague During
its premiere last year at the trade fair, the firm Phila from Lubljana in
Slovenia was highly satisfied. And so this year it is returning to Prague.
It will not only offer philatelic material for sale, but it also wants to
buy philatelic items of postal history from other collectors –
primarily from the Second World War from the territory of the former
Yugoslavia. Zambia
again, Hungary and Morocco for the first time After
a break of one year, when she could not attend the trade fair for
administrative reasons, Mrs Namakau Kaingu is once again returning to
Prague. Her firm Chukwuemeka from Lusaka will offer visitors precious
stones, products made of malachite and other minerals and African object
d’art. Mrs Kaingu is coming to the trade fair Collector for the
fifth time. Szabolcs
Somogyi from Budapest will be coming to the trade fair for the first time
with an offer of precious stones, gems and Hungarian fossils, and there
will be two exhibitors from Morocco. Aziz Haqqi and Ouyahia Nordine will
be coming to the trade fair from the well-known mineralogical centre of
Midelt with an offer of an inexhaustible number of minerals, precious
stones and fossils. Vojta
& Peters Auktionen At
this year’s trade fair, the auction house Vojta & Peters
Auktionen from Vienna will be presented for the first time. In addition to
philatelic auctions, the new auction firm also specialises in conventional
trading in philatelic material and in postal history. Mr Michael Vojta, a
leading philatelic expert, has been participating at the trade fair
collector every year since the first event in 1998. Belorussian
post office introduces itself The
Belorussian post office has joined the many postal administrations which
will exhibit at the trade fair this year. During its first appearance at
the trade fair it will offer postage stamps depicting the history and
culture of this country as well as thematic stamps such as flora and
fauna. Premiere
for firms Marvin Spa and Numismática-Notafilia Diamantino This
year for the first time two well-known numismatic firms will be
participating in the trade fair Collector ( September 10 – 12th) -
Marvin Spa from San Marino and Numismática-Notafilia Diamantino from
Portugal. Marvin Spa is an official distributor of the most important
global mints, and the firm always has the latest products at competitive
prices. With its fifty-year tradition, Numismática-Notafilia Diamantino
is one of the most important numismatic firms in Portugal. It has two
shops in Lisbon and one
in Porto. In a manner similar to Marvin Spa, it regularly
participates in the largest numismatic events in Europe. Austrian
Post and Hungarian Mint also for the first time The
Austrian Post and Hungarian Mint will also be participating at the
Collector trade fair for the first time this year. The postage stamps of
our southern neighbour are amongst the most popular with collectors. The
stampings of the Hungarian Mint are amongst the most sought after. This is
evidenced by the fact that the mint has opened a new customer centre this
year in Budapest. Heinrich
Köhler returns Heinrich
Köhler Berliner Briefmarkenauktionen is returning to the trade fair
Collector after last year’s first appearance, when the
representatives of the firm were highly satisfied with the participation.
The firm Heinrich Köhler, which is one of the most important auction
houses in Germany, holds renowned international auctions always at the
beginning of March and September. Curiosity
Collectors Club once again with an interesting programme At
the trade fair on 10th September, the Curiosity Collectors Club
will present the interesting collections of its members, on 11th
September autograph collectors will make a presentation at the club’s
stand, and on 12th September space will be given to the Czech
Philumenic Association and its match box labels. For Saturday
afternoon the CCC is preparing an autograph signing
session of VIPs. A similar autograph signing session
at the trade fair in 2002 met with great interest on the part of
the visitors. The Curiosity Collectors Club, which brings together more
than 900 collectors from the Czech Republic and abroad, focuses on non-traditional
areas of collecting. In the club there are sections for models and figures,
postcards, beer souvenirs, match box labels and pocket calendars and more
than 200 other fields. It
regularly participates in the trade fair Collector every year. Exhibitors
