EUROPEAN EXHIBITION OF POSTAGE STAMPS
BRNO 2005

BRNO 2005:

Union of the Czech Philatelists

European Exhibition of Postage Stamps Brno 2005 invites you.

After the successful exhibition BRNO 2000, the main organizers of the following big exhibition – Czech Post s.p. and the Union of Czech Philatelists – decided that even this exhibition would take place in Brno. The result is the European Postage Stamps Exhibition BRNO 2005.

BRNO 2005, the first European postage stamps exhibition held in the Czech Republic, will take place from 10 - 15 May 2005 at the exhibition grounds of Brno Fairs. Competitive exhibits will be located mainly in pavilion „D“. Pavilions „Morava“ and „Brno“ are intended for the exhibition post office and non-competitive classes. There will also be an exhibition bourse as usual at philatelic exhibitions. It will take place in pavilion „A3“,  as it did in 2000. The accompanying events, such as seminars, meetings, jury etc.) will take place in the Congress Centre.

The presidium of the exhibition have been working since 2003. Czech Post s.p. is represented by its South Moravian branch and the Philatelic Club of Alfons Mucha has been commissioned to organize the exhibition by the Union of Czech Philatelists.

Collaborating organizations are Brno Fairs plc, Congress Centre plc, Cultural and Information Centre of Brno, etc.

High requirements for the quality of displayed exhibits will guarantee that visitors both from abroad and from the Czech Republic will see the best European exhibits.

Visitors will certainly be attracted by the displayed philatelic rarities. The British Queen, Elisabeth II, has already approved of exhibiting some rare items from the Royal Collection. And other interesting exhibits are under negotiation.

Two Bulletins have been already published, containing main information of the exhibition. They have been sent to all Philatelic Associations in Europe, the appointed National Commissioners and to all clubs in the Czech Republic.

The European Postage Stamps Exhibition BRNO 2005 is an exhibition held under the patronage of the Federation of European Philatelic Associations FEPA and with recognition of the Federation Internationale de Philatelie FIP.

BRNO 2005 is a general competitive exhibition with all the competitive classes and it will be governed by the international exhibition regulations and conditions.

So far 38 Philatelic Associations have appointed their National Commissioners, who will co-operate with the Organizing Committee in the selection and participation of exhibitors from their countries.
